Assistant Manager — Market Distribution & Syndication
Provide junior execution capacity across GSSI’s publishing, distribution and syndication programme, reporting to the Market Distribution & Syndication Manager.
About GSSI
Global South Strategic Intelligence is an independent forensic geopolitical and sovereign-risk advisory firm working with institutional clients on complex sovereign, geopolitical and transaction-risk questions.
GSSI produces proprietary research, institutional analysis, newsletters, commentary and specialist intelligence for audiences across finance, insurance, law, advisory, corporate and investment markets.
As GSSI expands its existing distribution and syndication capacity, we are adding junior execution bandwidth to support the continued delivery of an established publishing and distribution programme.
The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager — Market Distribution & Syndication to support the day-to-day execution of GSSI’s publishing, distribution and syndication activity.
The role reports to the Market Distribution & Syndication Manager and is focused on disciplined operational execution across GSSI’s owned and external channels.
You will help ensure that research, newsletters, articles and institutional content are prepared correctly, published on time, distributed through the appropriate channels and maintained to a consistent professional standard.
What You Will Do
- Prepare research, articles, newsletters and institutional content for publication.
- Upload and maintain content across the GSSI website and approved external platforms.
- Schedule LinkedIn, email and other agreed distribution activity.
- Format text, charts, images and supporting material to channel-specific requirements.
- Prepare approved excerpts, summaries and distribution copy from existing GSSI material.
- Maintain publication calendars and support on-time execution of agreed releases.
- Prepare material for syndication partners and external publishing platforms.
- Maintain accurate archives, profiles, links and publication records.
- Support newsletter publication, subscriber administration and mailing-list hygiene.
- Maintain audience, contact and basic CRM records.
- Check links, formatting, attribution and presentation before publication.
- Coordinate routine publishing requirements with design, research and technical resources.
- Produce basic reporting on readership, engagement, subscriber activity and channel performance.
- Support targeted institutional distribution using agreed lists, segments and channels.
- Flag publishing issues, errors or missed deadlines promptly to the Manager.
Who We Are Looking For
We are deliberately open on background. There is no prescribed degree, sector, career path or number of years of experience for this role.
You may come from marketing, publishing, finance, media, research, technology, administration, operations, design, hospitality, retail, academia, a start-up, a large institution — or somewhere entirely different.
What matters is the mix you bring: talent, judgement, digital confidence, attention to detail, learning speed, reliability and the aspiration to develop into serious institutional distribution work.
Prior experience in publishing, marketing, financial services, research, intelligence or media can be useful, but it is not required. We are equally interested in evidence from academic work, volunteering, independent projects, side projects or something you built yourself.
You should be comfortable working with, or quickly learning, LinkedIn, Mailchimp or similar email platforms, website content-management systems, analytics tools, basic CRM systems, scheduling tools, lightweight design software and spreadsheets.
What Matters to Us
Strong candidates will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong written English, good organisational skills, reliable follow-through, confidence using digital systems, intellectual curiosity, learning ability and the ambition to grow into greater responsibility.
You should be comfortable following agreed processes, exercising sensible judgement on routine matters and working independently once a task and standard have been defined.
This is not a social-media influencer or community-management role. It is not responsible for determining GSSI’s analytical conclusions, commercial positioning or overall distribution strategy.
Reporting Line
The Assistant Manager — Market Distribution & Syndication reports to the Market Distribution & Syndication Manager and provides junior operational capacity across publishing, distribution and syndication activity.
Engagement Structure
This is a permanent part-time role, subject to a three-month probationary period.
The role will be predominantly remote/hybrid, with London meetings where useful. The working pattern and expected weekly commitment will be agreed with the successful candidate based on the scope of the role, availability and GSSI’s operating requirements. Compensation will be agreed based on experience, availability and scope.

We are particularly interested in potential: the combination of talent, discipline, learning ability and aspiration required to execute accurately now and grow quickly with responsibility.
