About GSSI

Global South Strategic Intelligence is an independent forensic geopolitical and sovereign-risk advisory firm working with institutional clients on complex sovereign, geopolitical and transaction-risk questions.

GSSI produces proprietary research, institutional analysis, newsletters, commentary and specialist intelligence for audiences across finance, insurance, law, advisory, corporate and investment markets.

The Role

GSSI is expanding its existing market distribution and syndication capacity and is making an additional permanent part-time hire to support continued growth.

We are looking for a Market Distribution & Syndication Manager to manage the distribution, publishing and syndication of GSSI’s research and institutional content across owned and external channels.

This is a hands-on execution role reporting directly to the Principal. You will work closely with the research team and oversee junior execution support to ensure that high-quality analytical work reaches relevant institutional audiences in the right format, through the right channels and to a consistent professional standard.

What You Will Do

  • Manage distribution of GSSI research, articles, newsletters and institutional content across relevant channels.
  • Coordinate publication across the GSSI website, LinkedIn, email and selected external platforms.
  • Manage and develop external syndication relationships across appropriate platforms, aggregators and institutional networks.
  • Maintain publication calendars and ensure consistent execution across channels.
  • Repurpose substantial research into suitable derivative formats without weakening or trivialising the underlying analysis.
  • Manage newsletter publication, subscriber lists, segmentation and campaign execution.
  • Coordinate audio and other long-form distribution where relevant, maintaining the same institutional and editorial standards as written output.
  • Maintain external publishing profiles, archives and relevant content pages to a consistent institutional standard.
  • Support targeted distribution to relevant institutional audiences.
  • Monitor distribution performance, audience quality and engagement using appropriate analytics, and report findings proactively.
  • Support conversion from readership into subscriptions, enquiries and other commercially relevant engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal and external design, publishing and research resources where required.
  • Maintain clear brand, editorial and presentation standards across distributed material.

Objective

The objective is not maximum reach. It is relevant reach among institutional audiences likely to read, engage with, refer or use GSSI’s work.

Who We Are Looking For

Relevant backgrounds may include B2B marketing and distribution, financial-services or professional-services marketing, institutional publishing, financial media, newsletter operations, content distribution, audience development, digital publishing, content syndication or communications within a specialist advisory or research business.

Experience in financial services, research, geopolitical risk, professional services or institutional media would be particularly valuable.

We would generally expect approximately 3–5+ years of relevant experience in B2B publishing, institutional communications, financial or specialist media, audience development, distribution or syndication.

You should be comfortable working with, or quickly learning, platforms such as LinkedIn, Mailchimp or similar email platforms, website content-management systems, analytics tools, basic CRM/contact-management systems, content scheduling tools and lightweight design or publishing software.

What Matters to Us

Strong candidates will demonstrate excellent execution discipline, strong written English, good editorial judgement, attention to detail, strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, discretion with sensitive institutional information and the ability to operate independently while coordinating across several channels.

You should understand B2B and institutional audiences, be able to interpret analytics rather than simply report numbers, and know how to adapt complex research for distribution without cheapening it.

This is not primarily a social-media community-management role and it is not built around chasing viral reach or maximising follower counts. It is also not responsible for determining GSSI’s analytical conclusions.

Engagement Structure

This is a permanent part-time role, subject to a three-month probationary period.

The role will be predominantly remote/hybrid, with London meetings where useful. The working pattern and expected weekly commitment will be agreed with the successful candidate based on the scope of the role, availability and GSSI’s operating requirements. Compensation will be agreed based on experience and the scope of responsibility.

Application

Please send:

  • Your CV.
  • A short note describing your experience in publishing, distribution, syndication or audience development.
  • Examples of channels, newsletters, campaigns or publishing operations you have personally managed.
  • A brief example of a situation where you improved the distribution or performance of an existing piece of content, product or research.

We are particularly interested in evidence of consistent execution, judgement and follow-through.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
